Leland Shenfield, DDS,MSD

Dr. Shenfield is privileged to welcome children to his practice in Mill Creek.

A 1999 graduate of the University of Washington School of Dentistry where he earned honors in Endodontics, Prosthodontics and Pediatric Dentistry, Dr. Shenfield completed his Pediatric training at Seattle Children's Hospital, serving as Chief Resident in 2000-2001. He also earned a Masters of Science in Dentistry at the University of Washington in 2001.

Committed to being the best pediatric dentist he can be, Dr. Shenfield is an active member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, Washington State Dental Society, and the Washington State Association of Pediatric Dentistry. He has served as president and secretary of the Seattle Pediatric Dental Society and the Evergreen Pediatric Dental Study Club. Dr. Shenfield is also an affiliate instructor with the University of Washington Pediatric Dentistry Department and is on staff with the Department of Dental Medicine at Children's Hospital.

He has an abiding interest in working with children who have difficulty accepting the dental environment, or have medical or developmental special needs.

Dr. Shenfield gives back to the community by supporting the Walk for Autism, Doctors Without Borders, Save the Children and the Children's Defense Fund. In his spare time, he enjoys playing the guitar and bass, pretending to be a triathlete, defending his family against spiders, and boating. His greatest gifts are his beautiful wife of 17 years, Tracie, and their daughters Lily and Evie.

Jennifer - Office Manager

Jenn has been Dr. Shenfield's go-to gal for over 10 years. She is our office manager and the glue that holds our team together. In her spare time, she enjoys shopping, cooking, vintage volkswagens and motorcycle shows. Occasionally she'll even drive her 1956 VW "Lowla" to work! She has been happily married to her husband Rob for 19 years and they have one daughter named Phoebe who keeps Jenn busy with basketball, swimming and softball. Jenn, Rob & Phoebe have a beautiful home in Snohomish and a Corgi named Loki. Jenn has an awesome sense of humor and always has a good joke on hand!

Angela- Dental Hygienist

Hi my name is Angela! I attended Eastern Washington University where I earned my Bachelor of Science degree in Dental Hygiene. After graduation in 2001, I began working at a pediatric dental office where I stayed for about 8 years. My family and I relocated to Seattle in 2008 and I was fortunate to find Mill Creek Children's Dentistry.

I am married to a wonderful man and have 2 amazing daughters who keep me very busy. I enjoy spending time with my family, hiking, cooking & gardening.

Afton - Lead Front Office Coordinator

Afton has been in the front office at Mill Creek Children's Dentistry for 5 years. Afton is happiest when she is with her wonderful husband AJ and their newest addition, their son, JAX! Around our office, Afton is known for never taking a bad photo!

In her spare time, she enjoys cooking, home improvement projects and spending time with friends.

Megan - Front Office

Megan has been with Mill Creek Children's Dentistry for 4 years and is the first friendly face to greet you when arriving at our office. Megan would say her favorite things in life are her husband Michael and their pomeranian Zoey!

In her spare time, she enjoys cooking, camping, spending time with friends and family, and home improvement projects as she and Michael recently bought their first home.

Tracy - Dental Assistant

Hi, I'm Tracy and I've been in pediatric dentistry for 15 years. I love kids and am especially fond of your children since mine are all grown and gone from our home. My son is 30 and my daughters are 28 & 24. We have three grandchildren, ages 3 & 1. In my spare time, I play on 2 softball teams and coach another. Your kids and softball keep me young. My main goal in the office is to ensure that your children have a positive dental experience, and that they look forward to visits with us.

Erica - Dental Assistant

Hi I'm Erica and I've been with Mill Creek Children's Dentistry since 2004, I left for 3 years to stay at home with my boys and have been back since 2009. My fiance Andy and I will marry in March and blend our families together. Andy has 2 boys as well and I can't wait to be a permanent part of their lives.

My goal each day is to ensure that your kids have an awesome experience at the dentist and that they enjoy coming to see us.

My spare time is spent enjoying our children, family game nights and weekend at Lake Cavanaugh.

Whitney - Dental Assistant

What's up? I'm Whitney. I've been a part of the Mill Creek team and a pediatric dental assistant for 5 years now. Kids are my forte as I tend to get along with them easily due to my fun loving, young-at-heart, energetic, loud and proud bubbly personality. I pride myself in being self-motivated, on the move, and always optimistic. My team can always count on me to turn a frown upside down, sing along to any song I know and throw in some dance moves from time to time, just to keep the environment fun for all.

In my spare time, I'm at a coffee stand where I've been told I make a pretty mean cup of java. Activities I love but not limited to are: lifting weights, any form of exercise, wakeboarding, camping, taking action photos and spending as much time as I can with my friends and family. Life's short, let the good times roll!

Jenna - Dental Assistant

Hey, I'm Jenna! I moved to the Seattle area about 3 years ago and have spent the last year as a pediatric dental assistant with Dr. Shenfield. I'm happy to have a job that includes 3 of my favorite things: kids, teeth, and helping others. I'm sort of the quiet one around the office, however, if you get to know me you'll see the loud, outgoing, and silly person that I am. In my spare time I enjoy being with family and friends, watching Gonzaga basketball, shopping, laughing, and napping. During the summer, when we have one, my boyfriend and I spend most of our time soaking up the sun while we cruise around Lake Union on our boat. We also have 2 dogs, Lexus and Hemi, whom I've adopted as my children.

Heather - Dental Assistant

Hi, my name is Heather! I love working with kids and have been a pediatric dental assistant at Mill Creek Children's Dentistry for 5 years.

In December of this year I married my best friend Mitch on beautiful Maui, Hawaii! In my spare time, I enjoy walking my chihuahua's Minnie & Yoda, gardening at our new home and spending time with our friends and family. GO HUSKIES!

Jessica - Dental Assistant

Hi! My name is Jessica and I am the newest member of the MCCD team. I have really enjoyed my time with all the kids and my team members. In my spare time, I like to play guitar, go on hiking trips and do "artsy" things such as; painting, sketching, or even just doodling when I'm bored. I'm known as the "Rock Star" around the office, and I'm very glad the crew picked me to keep our office modern and hip!
