Meet Leland Shenfield, DDS, MSD
Dr. Shenfield is privileged to welcome children to his practice in Mill Creek.
A 1999 graduate of the University of Washington School of Dentistry where he earned honors in Endodontics, Prosthodontics and Pediatric Dentistry, Dr. Shenfield completed his Pediatric training at Seattle Children's Hospital, serving as Chief Resident in 2000-2001. He also earned a Masters of Science in Dentistry at the University of Washington in 2001.
Committed to being the best pediatric dentist he can be, Dr. Shenfield is an active member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, Washington State Dental Association, and the Washington State Association of Pediatric Dentistry. He has served as president and secretary of the Seattle Pediatric Dental Society and the Evergreen Pediatric Dental Study Club. Dr. Shenfield is also an affiliate instructor with the University of Washington Pediatric Dentistry Department and is on staff with the Department of Dental Medicine at Children's Hospital.
He has an abiding interest in working with children who have difficulty accepting the dental environment, or have medical or developmental special needs.
Dr. Shenfield gives back to the community by supporting the Walk for Autism, Doctors Without Borders, Save the Children and the Children's Defense Fund. In his spare time, he enjoys playing the guitar and bass, pretending to be a triathlete, defending his family against spiders and boating. His greatest gifts are his beautiful wife of 29 years, Tracie, and their daughters Lily and Evie.
Dr. Shenfield earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree and Master of Science in Dentistry degree from the University of Washington. He also completed a residency in pediatric dentistry at Seattle Children's Hospital.
